Walking the Labyrinth

Walking the Path – A labyrinth is a metaphor for the spiritual journey that we are all on as we search for the center Since prehistoric times, the labyrinth has been a sacred path of meditation that confers real benefits to body and soul. It has been found in all religious traditions in various forms around the labyrinth in the courtyard at St. Edmund’s will now be available for all to enjoy.

 

“Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice used by many different faiths for spiritual centering, contemplation and prayer.  Entering the serpentine path of a labyrinth, the walker walks slwly while quieting their mind and focusing on a spiritual question or prayer.”
